MPG after 30,000
My MPG seems to have jumped again. It might just be me but every 10,000 mile I see a jump in MPG. I wonder if the mixture is leaning out or this little 3 banger is getting looser with age.

I'm at 40K and have not seen a change since around 7K and you know how much I get around this past year. We'll see if there is a change after the 40K service.

could just be your driving habits have changed, your getting used to how it drives.

I just turned 30K miles on my '08 and on the recent trip to Jam-On-The-Dam, I averaged 42.84 mpg from Mesa, to Kingman AZ.
In traffic in Vegas and the Dam run my mileage was down to 33.46 mpg.
And on the return trip Las Vegas to Kingman averaged 45.99 mpg.
But Kingman back to Mesa had heavy traffic on Carefree highway, I-17, and Loop 101, so brought me back down to 35.16 mpg.
But I have also noticed that my Smart gets better mileage at higher altitudes.
5000 ft to 7400 ft elevation I can get 45 to 47 mpg. Same driving at 1500 to 2500 ft I get 38 to 42 mpg.
What is strange is that I seem to be running rich at the lower elevation, but leaning out at hgiher elevation, which is contary to the air density.
Maybe I have a faulty Manifold Air Pressure sensor?
